A custom link for your Google Form

Google Forms can only shorten a form to a random forms.gle address. With FormURL you choose the words: formurl.com/to/open-day-rsvp instead of a string of random characters. Paste your form’s link, type the words, and share it. It’s free, and your first link needs no account.

    Make your custom link

    1. 01

      Copy your form’s link

In Google Forms, click Send and copy the link from the link tab.

    2. 02

      Paste it into FormURL

Paste it into the Form URL field on formurl.com.

    3. 03

      Type your words

Choose the words for the end of the link. FormURL tells you right away whether they’re taken.

    4. 04

      Create and share

Copy the link, or download its QR code for print.

    Choosing good words

    • Say what the form is for: staff-survey, open-day-rsvp, volunteer-signup.
    • Keep it short enough to read aloud and type on a phone.
    • Separate words with hyphens so they’re easy to read.
    • Add a year or term if you run the same form again, like summer-signup-2027.

    Links under your own name

Sign in and pick a username, and your new links can live under it: formurl.com/your-name/open-day. If you change your username later, links under the old name keep working and lead to the new address.

Can I use my own domain for Google Form links?

Not yet. Custom domains, like links.yourcompany.com, are planned for a future Pro plan. Today every link is on formurl.com.

What if the words I want are taken?

FormURL tells you as you type. Try adding a place, a date, or your organization’s name.

    Do I need an account?

No. Your first link needs no account. Sign in with email or Google to keep your links on any device, edit them, and see their analytics.
